Family Programs

Our sponsorship programs allow donations to be directed to specific activities and to address specific needs. Your donation will bring lasting change:

• Adopt a family ($1046.00) - Provide support for a family for a year. Funds cover the following:
  • a welcome basket
  • sheets and towels
  • monthly living assistance items such as grocer store vouchers, bus tickets, phone cards and laundry money
  • school supplies for each child
• Welcome Basket ($100.00) - Provide a family with a basket filled with daily supplies and special item
• Family Night ($125.00) - Give one of our families a chance to go out together for an evening activity of their choice
• Transportation ($25.00) - Travelling by bus is not always possible; taxi chits give our families an alternative.
• Food Sponsorship ($400.00) - Provide one of our families with groceries for a month.
• Holiday Season Party ($1000.00) - Sponsor a Holiday Season Party for all our families. A chance to get-together and celebration the new directions in their lives.

Women's Programs

• Career Sponsorship ($250.00) - Provide the services and tools to facilitate a woman's re-entry into the workforce. This includes career counselling, resume preparation and interview coaching.
• Respite ($50.00) - Provide a resident with childcare outside of our regular programs to allow her to attend medical or legal appointments, family or personal shopping or just to have some personal time away from the children.
• Clothing Fund ($500.00) - Provide basic clothing for a woman and her family. This would also provide some toiletries as well.

Childrens's Programs

• Homework Program ($200.00) - Provides support for one child for one month. This program provides support and tutoring in the completeion of school-assigned projects.
• Recreational/Educational Excursions ($150.00) - Provides our younger residents the opportunity to take a trip to a museum, to the movies bowling or to other off-site group activities.
• Children's Art Therapy Sessions ($400.00) - Provides an 8-week sponsorhip for one of our children in our Art Therapy Program.
• Library Program($100.00) - Provides books, DVDs and educational software for all of our junior residents.
• Activities Fund($500.00) - Provides toys, books, crayons, paper and other supplies needed for the enrichment of the play activities for the children in residence.

Adopt a Unit

This program provides support for one of our apartment units for one year. Funds are used to ensure basic living and security requirements are met. Dishes, furniture and appliances are repaired or replaced as necessary. This program also coveres cleaning and re-keying of locks between tenants. Units are repainted annually.
