Job Description: Unit Preparation Volunteer

The Unit Preparer will sort donations which would be appropriate for furnishing the units and keep units stocked as residents move in and out. She will work as a part of the Harmony House team in a manner consistent with the agency’s philosophy, mission and policies, under the direction of the Women’s Advocate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort and maintain the donations in the basement
• Prepare kits for each unit
• Maintain lists of items needed for the units for donation purposes
• Distribute donations to each units as possible
• Hang curtains/blinds as necessary
• Be part of a unit painting crew on occasion

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Willing to submit a recent Criminal Check
• Provide 2 references
• Ability to work in a closed environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift light boxes and objects
• Minimum 4 hours per month time commitment for a period of one year
